S.T.A.R. Puppy & CGC


The CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Program was started in 1989.  It is a certification program that was designed to reward well mannered dogs both at home and in public.  The CGC is a two part program that focus on responsible pet ownership and basic good manners for dogs.  All dogs who pass this ten step test, will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

The Canine Good Citizen Program has had a tremendous impact on many communities.  This is a program that will help your dog be welcomed and respected where ever he goes. 

Who can participate?

All American Dog's and Purebred.


Is there an age limit?

No. A dog is never too old


Is there a prerequisit for testing?

Some dogs have completed basic obedience or CGC classes

S.T.A.R Puppy is a program designed to get dog owners and puppies off to a good start.
